Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School Reviews

There are definately better schools in the area to choose from. This school is okay but nothing great. They have improved some over the years but still lack in my opinion.

This is a warm and welcoming school to both parents and students. It is a safe, friendly, respectful and encouraging environment in which every child benefits from. It is a very positive learning environment. Even the attitudes of the students and teachers towards the special needs children is nothing short of awesome.

This is by far the best school my boys have attended. Their Special needs program is nothing short of AWESOME! The school on a whole is very family orientated. The respect and behavior of the students, what is given and what is expected, exceeds by far what we have seen in other schools. The children themsselves show a much bigger concern for fellow classmates and community then I ever expected. THANK YOU!

My children attended here for 3 years. This school is outstanding! It's not just about teaching the required curriculum but also about family, community, safety, respect of self and others as well as pride in their acheivements. The special needs programs was many steps above what we saw at other schools but the entire school has impressed me as a terrific place for ALL children to learn and be nutured.

I moved my family from NJ to Cocoa Beach last year, not so much for the beach, but for the public schools. As working parents in Orlando, we had many choices to find a newer home at a lower cost where we work. While we do pay we pay a little bit more as far as commute time, taxes (new homeowner) and insurance, the schools from elementary to junior/senior can't be beat. While it may not receive the prestige of some schools in the district, like Freedom or Louis Stevenson, it does provide the best balance of all types of learning abilities and all types of ethnic background. The families and the administration is heavily involved in developing our young minds introducing new events to get us involved. Great grounds with an indoor gym, great faculty in great location. Super satisfied parent of 2. Can't ask for more.

When my daughter entered 2nd grade (for the second time!) she could not read or write a sentence due to her previous school. Within 7 months of attending Roosevelt Elementary she can read chapter books and write paragraphs. The principal and staff have been wonderful and easily accessible to any issues we have had in her learning and health. Mrs. Sandra Jones is outstanding and we couldn't have come this far without her!

Roosevelt Elementary is a great school. My children love it, and I have never had a problem with the teachers or the administration. They are 100% professional.

Administration is very out of touch with the students and difficult to work with. Nice location and safe area, however; school could be much better. Teachers are generally ok, but could be much better if properly supported by administration.

This is an okay school but the district does have better.

Roosevelt is a terrific school for children who are not special needs. As a parent of special needs children, I found the school to be way behind current practices in most other schools and counties. The school has a good deal of community and volunteer involvment and the class sizes are very small. The location is beautiful and convenient.
