Lyndon B. Johnson Middle School Reviews

i went to this school, and meet so many people, the teachers were so nice and helpfull.

I was a student at LBJ and I'm in 8th grade. Sadly, I moved to New Mexico this summer and am no longer attending Johnson. I was in STAR, (a gifted program) and I know that they were doing good with thier teaching. The teachers are so nice, and I think it's a great environment. I totally recommend this school.

The whole state has problems with there education system, and locally is no different. It's hard to believe that the teachers even have certificates, are qualified or even care about the children. I feel that my kids won't be prepared for life so much so that we're planning on moving.

Johnson could be brought up to a higher standard with a few modifications. First being the number of students being reduced. Secondly there are very few after school activities. Next the level of discipline needs to be increased.

I'm afraid children attending this school are just not prepared for high school, the academic standards are so low. No homework assignments, the work is much too easy for the children and the amount of teachers in and out of this school is appalling. I'm very concerned at the low academic standard of the school. After moving here from New York the difference is just incredible. Our children are not getting the education they deserve here.

My daughter loves Johnson and so do I. They are strict on the kids and dont let them get away with stuff. Security is tight and you dont see kids wondering around the property or the school. When I drop off my child I know shes in the right place!

Johnson provides a diverse academic program that meets the needs of its gifted, regular, and exceptional education program. Its music department is superior; it feeds its music students into another great music program at the high school. Parents are involved to a certain extent; in particular in the gifted and advanced academic programs.
